Sleepy Hollow Season 1 Episode 5: John Doe

Ichabod Crane, a revolutionary soldier, was about to die when his witchy wife, Katrina, put a spell on him. He woke up two centuries later in Sleepy Hollow, where he has teamed up with Detective Abbie Mills. Abbie has her own sordid history with the supernatural. When she and her sister, Jenny, were young, they saw an apparition in the woods. Abbie lied and said she didn’t see it; Jenny swore they did. Abbie grew up to become a detective; Jenny was in and out of foster homes and psychiatric hospitals. Only recently has Abbie come clean about what she saw and made nice with her sister. Ichabod and Abbie believe they are the two witnesses mentioned in Revelations 11:3-6, forced to battle the forces of evil for 1,260 days. So far they’ve tackled headless horsemen, witches, and supernatural Germans. This week it’s plague, brought by another horseman, Pestilence.

Sleepy Hollow Season 1 Episode 6: The Sin Eater

Missed you last week, Sleepy Hollowers, but this week’s episode more than made up for the World Series-related hiatus. We learned how Ichabod bailed on the redcoats and signed on with General George Washington, how he and Katrina met, and even how Abbie may or may not feel more for her time-lost partner than even she realizes.
