This episode begins with Arrow trapped in the DA’s office, surrounded by cops with guns. His former flame, Laurel Lance, wants him to take off his mask and put down his bow, but before Oliver can say, “I’m not even wearing a mask; why don’t any of you know I’m this famous billionaire playboy whose every move ends up on the six o’clock news,” leather- and vinyl-clad Black Canary, wearing a mask (Oliver, take notes) crashes into the room. Using a device that emits sonics that causes windows to break and the cops to cover their ears, she rescues Oliver. He wants to know who she is; she flies (runs) away.
